My son has been under Mr Trotter's care for over 5 years. When he was first seen by him, we had been told that our son, who had collapsed eardrums, would be an adult with hearing problems- possibly quite severe- and that nothing could be done. Mr Trotter was fortunately not in agreement with that prognosis and has achieved more than we ever thought possible. 5 years and as many operations later, our son has 'normal' hearing! Mr Trotter's care has been second to none throughout and we have felt supported and listened to every step of the way. He took the time to get to know and build a good rapport with our son too- right from the first meeting when he was only 6 years old. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have been really impressed with the care that my son has received from Matthew Trotter. From the start Matthew listened patiently to the issues I was having with my son's ears and was sympathetic to the problems this was causing. He was very mindful of my concerns around surgery given my son's young age but his nature completely put me at ease. His style has been fabulous with my now nearly 4 year old and I have been completely happy with the care he has received. I was also very impressed with Matthew's support team (especially Alison, his PA, who is very responsive and reliable). Thanks very much for your great care!

I had suffered with balance problems for 12 years and had been given various diagnosis and medications. Then one day I staggered (literally) into Mr Trotters room, his opening words were, wow I can see what's wrong with you, you have a balance problem, at which point I burst into tears (others would think I was drunk). He asked me to be patient with him whilst he asked me a series of specific questions to try and identify what was the cause. When he said I can make you 100% better ( a statement in this day and age you don't hear very often due to litigation ) I felt confident with his promise. A complete change of my medication and a bit of patience, and he did regain my balance to a level I'd not seen since it all began. He has a lovely manner in which he deals with patients and has never made me feel like I'm just on a tick list of people to see that day - thank you for giving me my life back :o)

Mr. Trotter recently performed a tonsillectomy on our 9 year old son and we could honestly not praise him any higher! From the very first consultation to signing off everything ran perfectly. He made our son feel very comfortable with the whole situation and also put us as parents at ease very quickly. Wonderful care and attention! Mr. H

Having met Mr Trotter on 2 occasions in out patients for a throat problem and being very impressed by his friendly easy manner, it was decided that I should have a procedure under general anisthetic . I was nervous of this but his explanations and likely outcome were spot on as was his diagnosis. I saw Mr Trotter a short time prior to the procedure and a short time after on both visits he was cheerfull and explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. Mr Trotter is a top man and I cant recommend him highly enough. If you have a ENT problem then this man is the one to see.
